Have you ever thought that we ordinary people can travel to space one day? Till now, only well-trained astronauts (except those space tourists accompanied by astronauts) can go to space. However, this rule has just been broken! SpaceX recently launched Resilience which carried four citizens into space. It is the world's first manned spacecraft which all passengers were civilians.

The Resilience flew to an orbit about 590 kilometres above the Earth, which is higher than ISS or the Hubble Space Telescope! What did the four passengers do in space? They played Ukulele, drew sketches and had a video call with the kids in a children's hospital. After orbiting the Earth for three days in space, the Resilience splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean, marked a successful end of the journey.

This journey may be a big step in the history of humankind. Through ground control, passengers who went to space this time do not need years of training. This journey opened the door to space tourism. Will manned spaceflight and space exploration become dominated by civilians and private organisations in future? At least so for space tourism. Sooner or later, all of us might have the opportunity to go to space, admire our blue planet and explore the starry universe without the interference of the Earth's atmosphere. Going to space is no longer just a dream!

Do you want to venture into space? What would you like to do in space?
