Do you remember the night in April 2019 when astronomers released the first "image" of a supermassive black hole in the M87 galaxy captured by the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT)?

The Universe doesn't lack black holes. Astronomers believe that there is a supermassive black hole at the heart of our Milky Way galaxy โ€“ several thousand times closer!

๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ๐ŸฅThe EHT team (12 May) just proudly announced the "image" of Sagittarius A*! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

The Hong Kong Space Museum is proud to present a talk from Prof. Chan Chi Kwan, a member of the EHT team and Associate Professor from University of Arizona and to talk about this particular black hole at Sagittarius A* at the centre of our own galaxy. This talk will also be livestreamed online so don't miss the chance!

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Prof Chan will conduct the talk in Cantonese. If you want to know more about how to pursue a career in Science and participating in one of the pioneering projects in the field, you shouldn't miss this talk too!
